The Colors
I painted the some of the trim boards yesterday while waiting on Mom and Dad to get home. The boys "sleeping quarters" have gold walls with a blue/gray ceiling and green trim. I was worried about the look of it but it really does look nice. The other part of their room will be green and blue/gray walls with gold trim.

Of course it does not rain but it pours.... My van is dead and I have to go get a new battery which is bad enough but last night when Scott went to turn on the dryer there was nothing... No light, no working..... Seriously? It just sucks when things break! Oh well..... Mom and Dad are home finally, who could want anything more??? YAY!

Thanksgiving Program
This year our HS group decided to do a Thanksgiving program at a local nursing home. We always do a Christmas one near us but we picked a different nursing home to do the thanksgiving one. The families did poems, sang songs and read what each letter of Thanksgiving stands for! They did really well and I was proud of all the kids. The mom's did different things for each childs costume and the kids really did look cute.

After we went back to the S's to Trikke a bit and then headed to the PO to pick up a package for Grandpa. Then it was off to MiMi's to have lunch and now it is time to do some more mud and texture in the boys room!
Full days for us.... Busy busy... as usual!

Making Progress!
We are making the boys walls "Textured" after the first coat of tape and mud. They wanted to help out (yay!) so I gave them the go ahead to just do it after mixing the mud with some color. Their walls are going to be gold so we put a yellow base coat on and I went back with the proper tools and went over what they had done to make it a little more smooth... They tried hard and actually did a good job of helping me cover a good part of the walls. They enjoyed mixing the mud with the paint and were right there to help do that every time I needed it.

When the first coat dries we will go back and actually paint the walls the gold color to see how it comes out. The room is not big so it should not take a long time to do it after I get the room done with the "mix".... Two walls are done, have another wall and a half to go and then I will have to get some heavy duty mud to fill in along the wall edges.... Every day we make progress and that is a good thing. I hope to get the room almost complete this weekend!
Tonight will be a little Dr. Who and some family time! Tomorrow the boys will be doing their presentations at Masters and that will be fun for them!

School Work and Fooling around....
The Big Room... work continues
The Big Room is closing in as work continues..... For those that know this room, you should be shocked at the way it looks now as things are progressing! Mom has been painting the bathroom and Grammie said that it was really a pretty shade of green. I can't believe there will be two bathrooms in Grammie's house! Cor put in the bathroom floor and mom said that it came out well; of course he had a "supervisor" looking on..... Would not mind having that supervisor here for a bit to help me sheet rock..... After the boys finish school work we will be doing more in their room. They each have a project due on Thursday for Masters that they need to finish up. Cubs tonight and then tomorrow we will hopefully get all the headdresses done and then Friday we go to a local nursing home for a Thanksgiving presentation with the home school group.

My King helper!
Zman has spent the last couple days helping with his room.... He has done everything from sweeping to holding and cutting sheet rock to filling holes (today)... He has never shown such interest and even washed all the tools when we were done tonight while I made dinner..... The Prince on the other hand makes himself conveniently scarce during the actual work in process and checks in when he is in need of food, drink or w/e.

I am very proud of my little son, he really has worked hard at helping and learning.... Should be paint ready by next weekend!!!

Broken Romance
Last night Mr.X, Pamela, Scott, the boys and I met MiMi uptown for a "CD release" party of Jeffery's band Broken Romance...... I found it interesting that the days of cigarette lighters are gone and now the kids wave cell phones during a slow song! The band sounded good (loud) and Zman was excited that MiMi bought him a CD which he went around to all the band members and got it signed with his Cousin! The top photo (on left) is Smalls, he is the band's roadie!

Last of the Soccer Season
Last night was the last event for the season. Quentin had his soccer party and because the coach of Zman's team decided not to have a party or medals, I got Zach into Q's party and got him a medal from the other teams.... Both boys had their moments of good playing time and are sad to see the season end. Going to be nice to have our nights back! You can still see the left over tatoo that Nana sent on Zach's cheek!

We Love you Nana!!!!!
