Our family's capricious, eccentric, boring, and mundane journey through life and Home Schooling with the loving and constant help of everyone around us.
In an effort to get the pond ready for camping/fishing/picnicking, dad and I spent the last two days clearing trees.... It actually was fun and even tho I am falling over myself tired, I feel very accomplished! We got a lot of trees removed and now will work on a HUGE picnic table and some kind of shelter. We will design and make some kind of bigger shelter with a small kitchen area and then we will work on some kind of outhouse for our female campers!!! I am looking forward to our first big activity down there which will be in the middle of June!!!
The boys second field trip of the week was to the Center for Puppetry Arts! They had a great time making the puppet Blue Ox and then seeing the Tall Tales Puppet show! It was such a fun day and we had the special treat of Nana going with us. We stopped for a great lunch and then headed home! The boys enjoyed the Puppet show and have been singing the Tall Tales song all weekend!
The boys have been very involved in riding their gokart the past week or so! I hope that soon they will have a little mini track and will also have another gokart so that they can both ride at the same time! Of course as you can see one of my children is a "Need for speed" child and the other one is a Put-put-put; oh look a pretty flower child!!! Does it surprise anyone which is which???
Took a trip with the S's up North to go Mining for Gems! The boys had a great day and really enjoyed "finding" the gems in the dirt! Would not mind going back up that way and trying a different place....
We did 1/3 of Q's birthday in Florida! It was a fun last night that included a GREAT movie and a wonderful dinner..... After we ate we headed home to pack a bit and then off to a late night swim! We packed some more and then the boys used the poppers that I bought and had a great time doing that! The 2/3rd of Q's birthday was at a rest stop off of 95 where we enjoyed cake. Overall he had a great birthday and one that he won't forget!
We had a great time at the Ocean this year! It was full with new experiences and enjoyable moments!!! Lots of "Firsts" this year! The boys learned to "boogy board", the Midget enjoyed swimming with no help, ALL the boys went further out in the ocean rather than staying on the edge of the water and the Mistress K actually went in further than knee deep! Our vacation was filled with exciting moments and lots of laughs!
I am going to add several posts to show off our vacation photos! These underwater shots were the highlight of our vacation shots! The Mistress "S" purchased this fancy underwater camera that we used as much as we could! The boys and I rode with the "S" boys and K to arrive before the men did. We had a wonderful few days but we were very happy to see the Menfolk arrive! The midget S threw away the water wings and spent the two weeks underwater with his new found freedom of swimming! Once again we had a very memorable vacation that ended to quickly! Already looking forward to next year!!!!
