It is Over!
Yes, that is correct.... The Olympics are now ending and we are enjoying the closing ceremonies!
Qman is pretty upset that his "ticket" to staying up late is now over and he will have to resume his normal bedtime and routine!
We have really enjoyed watching the medal count go up in the favor of the USA!

We Need a DVR!!
The Olympics are killing us and we need a DVR!! Poor Zman did not make it until after the Beach Volleyball tonight but as you can see, Qman is up and acting goofy!!! Notice the big bags under Qman's eyes! Just to many midnight bedtimes these couple of weeks... I have enjoyed every minute of watching the events with Q and Z!

Shooting Sports FTW......
Nothing like an afternoon of gun-play..... Our back yard was transformed into a make-shift gun range for the afternoon and the boys enjoyed watching the shooting and then after some extensive gun safety lessons got to shoot for themselves. Topping out at 93 degrees for the afternoon made it a little uncomfortable up there but having a piece of iron in your hand out ways the heat I guess.....

The boys were shown how to load and unload a gun, the safety of them and then to their delight actually got to shoot one.

We Miss you!

But your smile makes it all alright.
I'm so glad that you're my friend.
I know our friendship will never end."

"Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together? I guess that wouldn't work. Someone would leave. Someone always leaves. Then we would have to say good-bye. I hate good-byes. I know what I need. I need more hellos."

100%!!!!
The boys each passed their first spelling test of the year with 100% each! They have until Friday each week to study their words but both opted to get it over with today and both passed. Qman floored me with spelling Salamander correctly on his pre-test the first time without even blinking! Next week his words will be a little harder but for the first one I was proud of both of them! School has really started off on the right foot and the week has been running pretty smoothly!

Girls Night Out!!!
We had a wonderful "Girls night out" tonight with a great movie and dinner! Granted it was a movie that was at the $1 theater but we were all excited to see it (Sex and the City) and it was really good...... It was fun to laugh and joke around for the night....

Of course I had to do a little shopping after we all said good bye and I encountered a "Sweet Jesus" moment at the local Publix............ Got to love people that walk by you passing gas along the way!!!!

Our Trip home.
The boys and I decided to stop on the way home from our trip this time for many reasons but the biggest was to be able watch the olympics and take a swim before traveling on to home. The boys just love to stay in Hotels and this time was no exception! We needed to drive further but it was getting late and we wanted time to relax....
