A Ballgame and a smashed thumb!

Saturday was a day of rest.... After our long week we did very little on Saturday and needed just to be quite! Camp was so much fun and with the added bonus of having guests all week it made for a very nice week. Of course playing Rock Band Friday night was great! We all missed playing!
Sunday the boys had their hour with Mr.X and then we all went to their cousin's base ball game! The photo of A is a great one, got the shot perfectly with the swing and the ball in the shot with the expression on his face!

His sister enjoyed lap hopping between mom and his grandparents! The boys hung out and watched the game with the rest of us and Zman played a bit of soccer in the back of us with a couple of kids he met at the park.

When we got back to MiMi's house I managed somehow to get my thumb stuck in the door... I have tried very hard to get a photo of it but it just won't come out so you will just have to imagine my (now) purple thumb! I have managed to keep ice on it and as long as I stay still it does not throb to much....

The boys have gone off today to get material for either their room or costumes.. Not quite sure which... Nana and Grandpa took them! They got up early, did schoolwork, dressed and ate breakfast and were ready when Nana called!

Hope to get the insulation put up this week and order the sheet rock.... Sore thumb and all the work must keep going!

For all those times we said no.......

The boys at our camp had a HUGE day today.... It was quite an ending to a wonderful week.... For all those times that I said NO to the $2 for each kid to bounce for 4 minutes, We(several of the parents) decided to really treat our boys and rent one of those kool bouncer things and have snow cones!
The boys also had visitors from the Ambulance crew and a couple of fire fighters!
After a special lunch, we bounced more and they had some rocket fun and relay races! A quick "free-water" play was the last activity before family arrived to see each boy get a nice certificate and award for their incredible participation!

Our day ended with a sad goodbye to the S's who could not even be bribed into staying with the tempting Rock Band and Banks fish! Overall a great week that ended with dinner about 5 sets with Pamela, Mr.X and a friend from out of town...... We are already looking forward to the next "sleep-over" with the S's and next years day camp fun!!!!

SHHHHHH!! No Talking in the morning Please!!!!

Please@! Shhhhh..... It's FRIDAY..... No talking in the morning to tired moms!!!!

Big HUGE day today with the fun and excitment! I am sad that it is over today but thrilled that, just maybe, I can sleep late tomorrow!!!!!!

Camp Continues!

Our Camp experience is going very well!!! We have had a great two days with 3 to go!!! The boys are having a blast and each day brings on new things, new challenges and making their growing friendships stronger...

Today we played (or tried to...) Flag Football! Yes, got our fill of half boys who are "into" football and half boys running the other way to get out of the way of boys who actually like the sport! It was something to see!!!

A big finish is coming on Friday and I am so excited about that..... Tomorrow is shooting sports (BBGuns), parachute, more arts and crafts and more den activities!

First Day of Camp!!

Can't promise photos and posts every single day this week but for today you can check out our boys and the wonderful time they had! As you can see, Nana is helping out in the afternoon and the boys were thrilled to see her there.....
Their first camp day was filled with leather working, soccer games, nature lessons, flag drawing, camp songs, and bow shooting......
The boys had a great time and are now falling over tired after their very VERY busy weekend! Tonight will be showers and early to bed....
The rest of the week looks like great fun with flag football, parachute fun, more arts and crafts, more nature lessons, shooting and bows..... And just great fun with all their friends!
Our boys are in the "Rocket" den and the other boys are in the "planet" den..... The S's will be staying the week with us so after scouts we look forward to afternoon swims and good company! Maybe we can get a little rock band going a couple nights and see a movie or two!

Photos from Fernbank!

Our Fernbank trip was enjoyable again! This time we went to see an IMAX show as well as the actual museum!
We all enjoyed the new exhibit that was Polar Bears to Penguins and can't wait for the next new exhibit that will be coming in January!
After a late night on Friday night and then 5+ miles on the trikke Saturday morning.. Then the excitment of the S's and Mark at the museum... Zman shut down on the way to get dinner and then got into over-tired hyper mode by the time we sat down to eat. We introduced Mark to "Knots" and he introduced us to a wonderful pizza near his home....

Can't wait to head back into Atl for more Trikke adventures.... We missed out on Medieval Times because it happened to be father's day special going on and we did not pre-order tickets.. So we still owe the boys a trip there and the Mall of GA was amazing and there was a couple places the boys would have liked to go to if it had not closed by the time we got out of the movie......
