Zman gets his belt!!!

Zman got his purple belt tonight! He was so very excited!!! I got some great shots of the boys tonight before Z's class.... Here are a few.. Plus the photo of Zman getting his belt....

Count down to Mom, brother, and sister arriving!!!! YAY!!!!! OH!! and yea, we attempted to get rid of the pony tails! I'm sure that the shaving is coming but for now they just got a (mild) trim! I just Love my boys!!!!

Our Week.....

This week is going to be tough...... My test is on Saturday and I have to study all week for that. I am not looking forward to it at all and it does not help that I don't take tests well.......

The boys are getting their new belts tonight and that will be fun for them. Tomorrow is cubs....

Sometime in between I have to clean my house and get ready for Brother and Sister's visit.... Mom is coming home!!!!! YAY!!! it will be so nice to see her again!!

A trip to Athens will most likely be early on Wednesday to clean Pat's and then back to my house to do whatever else needs doing.....

Sometime in between it all I have to go to work.... hmmm.. yes... work.....

Next week will be fun having C and J here!

To my Babe...... I'm sorry your having a rough week already... :(:(... It will get better.. I promise!

The Derby!

The District derby was held at the Y and it was great fun! We arrived about 9am and got signed in after some work on Zach's car. The boys were very excited and it was great fun to see all the different cars.

There were things here and there that were kind of odd but the event ran pretty smoothly. Our boys did not place very well but it was their first time and I really did not expect them to do great. It was all about learning and having fun. The future races will be better now that we have a better idea about how the cars run and work.

There was some issue with the way the computer was recording the scores so we had to re-run some of the heats but it went pretty quickly and the tigers got done with their races before going on to the Cubs.


All the boys sat, waiting for their turn. Our Friends L, L and H showed up to cheer the boys on after H's soccer game. He had a bday party to go to and they had to leave before the boys got to race. It was fun to see other people from around town at the races. Kari is just the sweetest person in the world and she always makes me laugh. It is great fun talking to her and being around her. She and her daughters were there cheering on her son and they helped out with taking the cars off the tracks for us. If you need to buy a house in GA go see her! She will get you the house you want for a great deal!!!

We had dinner with the S's and then headed home. We had a great time playing Rock Band with Mr. X, Pam and their friend B...... Overall a great day! AND THEN.......


Saturday night Scott was sick and Sunday morning I woke about 5am and was either in the bathroom or on the couch sleeping all day long. It has been a long time since I felt that badly! I am still (sort of ) recovering and took the morning off to be sure that everything is okay. Best laid plans I tell ya..... It sucks.... My plan was to get my house in order, study and cut the boys hair and have company. None of this took place and now I am a whole day behind. I am so aggravated about being sick yesterday.....

Hiking With Grandpa

The boys spend all day Thursday with Grandpa working on their Extreme cars and went on a hike. Their cars were impressive and they had a good time building them. Grandma took great care in working with them on the wheels and although they looked impressive, they did not race the best. The wheels had a bit too much play in them and they finished side by side in last place. Its okay though. The boys had a great time and learned a great deal about racing the cars. It seems that no one had actually changed the wheels before so there was a little discussion when we got to check in as to whether or not they would be able to race them. After a quick look at the rules they were signed in and able to race.

Grandpa went home to do some google research and by our next racing adventure the boys will know all the ins and outs of the pine wood derby cars.....

I Love My Blog!!!

I do!~ I love my blog...... I absolutely love posting photos and writing about events. I love that friends and family look at it and I hope that everyone get as much enjoyment out of actually reading it and seeing the boys on (almost) a daily basis as I have enjoyed doing it.

Today is just one of those 70 degree spring days where everyone is smiling and in a good mood... Today is just a great day and last night was so much fun and there was so much energy in our house because it was ....... BOSTON BABE!!!!

Oh and BTW... I know that my brother does not read the blog and he among the few that would understand the accomplishment of me becoming EXALTED with Netherwing yesterday!!!!

BOSTON BABE!!!!

Today..... Not such a good day for me.... Just "one of those days" at the office... Oh well... BUT.... then I got home!!! Today was Boston Babe day!!!! We were able to download 6 Boston songs on Rock Band!!!! I was so excited!! It made my night. Mr. X and Pamela came over and we rocked on all night! We also Juke Box Hero which is a song that I love! It was just an AWESOME rock band night!!
The boys took turns and then quit to go paint their cars.
They spent the whole day with Grandpa working on their EXTREME CARS for Saturdays race. They are so excited about the big GA pine wood derby. Grandpa and the boys worked on their 1 pound cars for the special race and were thrilled to show them off tonight!



Looking forward to Athens on Saturday. Friday is "B-B-Q" day at the office and not only do we have the best BBQ in town but it is also Jeans day which makes it sooo much nicer! Hope tomorrow is better for me..... Everything else going well! TTFN... /hugs all around!!!

The PineWood Derby!!!

The boys had their FIRST pine wood derby with their pack tonight!!

Qman placed 1st and Zach placed 3rd in speed and BS placed 1st in show!!

It was a wicked fun night (well... for the most part....) The BOYS all showed great sportsmanship and had a very fun time...... It was exciting and thrilling to watch each and every race.

The track that we were able to use was a $4000 professional derby race track that we have been invited back to race on anytime!!! That is going to be so much fun and we can't wait to be involved with this other pack.

It was a great experience for everyone and a learning one for some of the adults.... Thankfully all our kids are able to go on Saturday to the GA area derby races. That is going to be great fun!

We had awards and snacks at the end and each boy really enjoyed getting something for their efforts.

Helping Out.....

One of the things on the boys list was to clean the bathroom.....

It might surprise you which boy took which task when they got to the end. Anyone that knows Zman will really be shocked by the following photos!
If nothing else, the site of this should make Nana very proud!!! Look at her boys go!!! Happy to report that they also vacuumed and cleaned around the dog food area, picked up 2 sections of their room and gathered all their clothes to be washed... Several tasks today was without being asked so I am pretty proud of them. (edited after because we had to go to derby and I was not done writing)

Our Week.... More HS shots......

Our week is going to be long. Our weeks always seem long these days.... April 15th can't get here fast enough!! I have to get through my insurance exam but in the meantime we have a small, pack, pine wood derby tonight and then the large one on Sat. Wish the boys luck, only a few boys from our pack can go.
The boys will get their new belts next Monday... S. called it "camera day" and all the kids met their parents telling them that they needed to bring their cameras next Monday.
No Masters this week because it is spring break. For the first time the boys asked why they had to do school work all week even though JB was out of school all week... Fell back on the ole' stand by "Cuz I said so...." Told them they could have a light day on Thursday but MiMi said they had to at least read.... Boy she is tough! It is good for them....


With Easter over we will get past the Saturday Pine Wood Derby and then will begin a massive overhaul on the house!! Boy it needs it. Maybe a chance I can leave early today and at least get some picking up done..... To begin with... :):)
Health updates are on my grandfather and Aunt.... Both are doing well after their surgery. Popey is still in the hospital and hopefully will be coming home today. Aunt J is resting in sunny FL and although she is bored out of her mind, she is doing well...

As for the last bit of fun news.... We got our DS cards and are waiting for the other part so that we can play our games... We are all very excited with the purchase and I have found the DS to be very relaxing.. On a funny note... My 42 year old cousin disclosed that she enjoys coloring as a stress reliever!! Made me laugh to hear her talk about getting coloring books for Easter... She needs to purchase a DS for sure... For those short times during the day that she needs a quick fix of stress relief!!!

And thats all folks.... Hoping things calm themselves soon.... Can't wait to see the bro and sis.. and of course mom! The following week after they leave will be the last week of tax season and then other than some cleaning up stuff I can get back to my life...... mundane and boring!

A good Black Eye

It is just cool when you are 17 and you get a pretty good black eye playing a mean game of soccer! JB got his revenge on the dude that did this to him on his last game. Had to get a photo of it because he thought that it was cool and was going to put it on his myspace account...... JB has really enjoyed his soccer season and this is just frosting on the cake! You know his strut is a bit more now sporting the black and blue!

Sunday Dinner and Egg Hunt!

Sunday dinner began with dad chasing the little rat dog out of the house and chasing Maggie away from the little rat dogs food...

The food was all perfect and all hot and yummy!

We sat around talking and then the boys went out and hunted eggs..... We cleaned up the dishes and then had some yummy cake that Q and Z made and some pecan pie that MiMi brought!

We finished cleaning up the house and headed home! Now it is time for Rock Band... or maybe a nap!!

Making a Cake

Q decided that he was going to make a "Molten Lava" cake for todays Easter Meal. Zman helped out and Scott joined in to help while I was making Devil eggs.

The project ended with Chocolate batter being spread... on the face..... Cake is in, Potatoes are done, Ham is cooking and I am getting ready to head up to dad's to get the table ready and start the veggies and "brown and serve rolls"......

MiMi is bringing a Mac and Cheese dish (requested by Scott) and Cornbread (also requested by Scott).......

We are sad that Mark will not be joining us..... He cracked himself in the head with a crowbar and spent the afternoon in the hospital... He is fine, no stitches but did have a nice blood soaked head all afternoon..... :(:( Guess Trikke and Rock Band with him will have to wait until another weekend! Feel better Mark!

Happy Easter!!!!

Happy Easter everyone! The boys got up early and waited for Scott to get up... They went out to say goodmorning to our new temporary addition, Yoda.....

Yoda found us and is a cute little dog that has either lost his way or is a "drop off".

The boys came in and woke scott up and then opened their Easter Baskets. When they were through they called their grandmothers to wish them a Happy Easter and then ran up to grandpa's to get Q's pancake mix that they had left up there.


Today they will have an egg hunt and we will have lunch at Grandpa's house!
