Around and Around we go!

Yesterday was a surprise day off for me so I took advantage of not going into work! The boys finished up school work and we headed to the tennis courts to hit some tennis balls around. It was great fun and I think with a little practice the boys are going to do well!
We arrived back home to find Grandpa pulling into our driveway and asking if we wanted to go help him survey the new pond area. The boys and I walked up to his house and we took the tractor out to where the pond is going in.

It does not look like much now, just dirt and a little stream but once they finish digging out and make the dam, it will begin to fill up. We had to survey around the pond to see where the levels will be. We went around and around and around to get everything as close as we could... We were all pretty tired when we were done but it was such a pretty day that it was worth while!

There will be some nice picnic/camping areas. Dad and I talked about making a little shelter and putting some tables back there! I can't wait!

We did not get back until late in the afternoon but it was great fun to work on it with Dad and the boys enjoyed playing in the mud and water! Both boys were a big help in putting the stakes in and helping with the location of the levels!

Pine Wood Derby 08'

The boys had their pack pine wood derby this past weekend! They were very excited to race their cars!! It was a fantastic day and our Brother pack invited us to join them in their Blue and Gold as well as their race!



Please keep Popey in your prayers, he spent the night in the Hospital last week and things are not going well.
As far as Tax Season, I am down to 3 days a week and it looks like my first day off will be spent in the doctors office with Quentin.

Zman is 8!

Zach turned 8 years old today!! He had a really good day at Masters and then came home to his requested Pizza and family. As an added bonus he got a lot of nice gifts and some money to spend as he wishes!
Nana was nice enough to host us all and she made the cake that Qman was able to decorate for him yesterday.



He still has more birthday things in the future. He has his lunch trip with grandpa and then once it warms up we will be taking the S's to Funplace for an afternoon!

Amazing that he is 8, seems like only yesterday we were bringing him home!

A really Good Sunday!!

Yesterday was a really good day! I had the day off (well, for the most part; I still managed to go to the office for a quick thing I needed to do....)

We started the day relaxing and watching a little tv... Mr. X brought the movie (from 1969) A Phantom Tollbooth over because they have just finished reading the book and writing their book report about it. Now the boys will do a compare and contras of the book to the movie which will be a fun writing project for them!

After we finished the movie I headed to town to get some stuff for dinner and to stop by the office really quickly.

On my way back I picked up Pamela (the second half of the night was for her) We played a little rockband (minus one guitar player that we were not happy about!) and then made breakfast for dinner while the kids when outside to play for a while!

Dinner was particularly good and we watched a couple Dr. Who episodes and then had Cake for Pamela's B-day!

Overall a great day with the exception of missing the S's! We had seen them the night before for a movie and dinner out which was really fun!

New Curtains!!!

The boys new curtains arrived today when we were out shopping!!! I guess the little curtain gnomes visited the boys room and they were so excited! They are working on their book report and then they will call Nana to thank her!

Did you miss me?

I missed all of you! I am winding down a month long stretch at work.... Yes I am tired and although I have really enjoyed working so much it will be nice to take a break soon... We have been busy which is a good thing.. The boys, with the help of Nana, MiMi, Grandpa and Scott have continued to do the stuff that they have needed to do. We have all been sick at one point or another and right now Nana is in bed with a wicked cold....
The boys had a good time at Cubs with the guest speaker and then went on to do foot molds and finger prints.
Hopefully this is the last Monday that I will miss and I will be able to get back to it and finish up this years Cubs with a bang. My boys have worked hard on getting their Webelos badge finished.
I am looking forward to a day off this week and I will enjoy spending some time with the boys and Scott.
