An Old Friend Returns......

We all like when old friends return but this old friend is pretty special and now the boys are enjoying our old friend! Yuppers... We dragged out our Magic cards and the boys each played tonight!! Actually going to get Nana into playing again... Qman really has been wanting to play and Zman will catch on once he starts playing! Next we will make a deck for the biggest BS and he can join the boys in this wonderful game!!! YAY FOR OLD FRIENDS..~!!!

PopPop's family day.....

We joined MiMi and PopPop at the family thing a couple weekends ago.... Zman had big time issues not being able to get in the pool right away. He sat for the longest time staring longingly at the pool... Acting like we don't have a pool... After we had a wonderful lunch the boys cousins arrived and they had a great time swimming with them. Q and Z really enjoy the diving board!! I would love to have a slide and diving board at home but it makes it special when we go to a pool where they can dive into a deep end!

Q and B's AOL

Quentin and BS had their AOL (Arrow of Light) Ceremony on June 12th. They officially became boy scouts and were welcomed into the Unit at that time. The AOL Ceremony was held down at the pond and it took a lot of prep work for Grandpa to get it ready for them. We made a people mover and a picnic table for the occasion. Grandpa surprised everyone by having a "Flaming Arrow" come down to start the fire~! It worked flawlessly and we were all thrilled at the big start to a very special night!

The People Mover!

So this is the day... The AOL ceremony for three of our boys! It has been no small project getting ready. Of course the next time it won't be so involved but this being the first activity down at the pond has created a bunch of work! Grandpa built (with a little help) the 10' picnic table. Land has been cleared, things have been set up and the last thing was the "people mover" that will transport people from Nana and Grandpa's house down to the pond (a car could drive down there but we thought that it would be a whole lot more fun to "move" them on a people mover!)... As you can see, the wood trailer was transformed into the people mover!
The ceremony will happen tonight and everyone is very excited about it all!

Projects and More Projects!

Several things going on in anticipation of Saturdays AOL ceremony for Qman and the biggest B..... We have been frantically working on a picnic table, the actual award and the "people mover"!!! Figuring out how to lay everything out and how to do each project has been on Grandpa's mind for a couple weeks so putting it together has not been hard, just a lot of work. JO and Zman worked on the awards this morning and we put the finished picnic table (10') in place today!

Tomorrow we will work on the "people mover" and then everything will come together by the end of the week.

In the "spare" time we are cleaning the pool and getting it ready for new water and new parts! YAY!!!

The BerryPicker!

The boys have been enjoying Nana's BerryPicker! They both get to drive it and enjoy driving Nana around in it. The BerryPicker was a welcome home gift and has come in handy driving around the land!!!

A Lazy Sat afternoon!

The boys "rescued" some tad poles today and we took them down and put them in "Lucy's Lagoon"..... They were very happy to have rescued them from certain death and even tho most will be food for others; they were very pleased with themselves.
This afternoon we headed to MiMi's to play some cards and have pizza and got to spend some nice time with the "X" family! Little X is really fun these days and has a laugh that warms your heart! Overall a very good day.....
Tomorrow will be spent doing some outside stuff and then I just don't know where the day will take us other than some pool work!

Our Day on the River!

We spent last Sunday out on the river which turned into so much fun! We thought that we were really going to be out of luck with the looming storms but as it turned out it only added to our fun! The rain did come but not until the end and it was really a blast in the rain!
Our next trip out on the river will be the 8mile ride. We have done the 4 mile ride twice and now we think we are ready for the longer ride. The boys are almost to the point where they can handle a bigger river and we really can't wait to take them Kayaking on something with a little more challenge. For now we are happy with our little jaunt down this little slow water place tho!
Overall a great time all weekend long hanging with Mark and the S's!
