We will miss you C!

The boys and I went to see off my good friend's son tonight. It was nice to see the family in their new house and I enjoyed catching up with my friend! CM will be back home at Christmas and I can't wait to hear of his adventures!

On Flea Duty!!!!!!

So! The B boys are on flea duty... It seems that we all have a pretty serious flea problem and we began with Dad's house! Threw the cats outside and bombed Dad's shop and then got the dog.... Maggie who is not loving the baths that are happening all too frequently, stood very well for the boys and I. While Quentin walked Maggie to our house, Zman and I headed down and closed up everything and set off bombs in the house.
Once we got to our house (just in time for rain to start) we sprayed our house for fleas and will bomb tomorrow. Then it will be back up to Mom and Dad's to bomb again!

The boys have a calendar that Grandpa made them and have been very diligently doing every task each day on the calendar. I am pretty proud of my boys for their hard work.

Now it is off to Scott's room to get it in order and clean so that Qman can host his first Warhammer 40K battle.... I am sure it will come complete with plenty of people here and food.....

The storm is pretty bad right now and the rain is coming down so hard that I can not hear myself type.... Oh wait... Still have the rubber keyboard... Ugggg...

Happy thoughts to the Brother and SIL today!

Better Q photo!

the photo of Q's hair was shadowed so here is a little better one... Not much but at least you can tell there is no brown left!

Dragging home critters

The boys came to work with me this morning and while they were there they spotted this praying mantis in a trash can outside! They were very excited to show it to their friend who was coming over for a seep over.
Q wanted to keep him but after a trip to the grocery store and a quick stop by MiMi's the poor little thing was dragging and needed to be let free! It was huge! Q and Z let it go outside in the woods.

Dad Makes his first cut!!

Dad's saw mill made it's first cut yesterday! It was so exciting to see it and amazing after seeing it in action and to dream of the limitless possibilities!! You go dad! We are so proud of you!!

Our Weekend!

Our Week, like every other week it seems, was very busy! I am filling in for vacationing people at work which leaves little time for much else. But in our free time we managed to "fit in" TWO birthday parties, one was for our great little friend Syd and that one happened to be a boy/girl sleep over party which the boys really enjoyed! Our friend Marff showed up late on Friday which was a wonderful thing and spent the weekend with us.
I hurried up to H. to get the boys so that we could meet up with MiMi and head to Lex to go to Bday party number two that was for the boys' cousin! It was his first birthday and all the family was there..... Then it was back home to entertain and have a blast with 8 of our closest friends who all arrived late afternoon and we enjoyed a great time of swimming, rockband, late dinner, man AND woman dip and lots of laughs! The house was busy with 12 people going in the same but different directions!! Today it was great to hang out again until we had to say goodbye to Marff!!

Qman managed some late night painting on his new figures that came in!! He is so excited to get his army together.

Our Week!

This week has been slower than normal for us. We have been helping grandpa get the saw mill ready to go which tonight included putting up a tarp to block the noontime sun.
The boys and I were invited to the lake house where we had a good time with K and S... We cooked the kids nice steaks and enjoyed many hours floating around in the water. We even swam across the cove to the other side which really made the kids feel accomplished.

The boys and I have been enjoying our daily (or twice daily) swims in the pool and they even got a nighttime swim in tonight!

Scott and Mr. X have been enjoying a new computer game and it is fun to hear them playing it.

We Miss you nana!

Helping Grandpa!

The boys, Scott and I went up to help Grandpa run cable for his shade over his saw mill. We had to get Grandpa pretty high up in the bucket and he used my handy, dandy cordless saw to cut limbs!!

Cub Camp 09'

This past weekend was spent camping with our Cub Scout pack! It was great fun, did not rain and cooled off every night for good sleeping! The boys enjoyed fishing, kayaking, biking, campfires and great friends! Other than the lack of shower and the "hike" that you had to take to get to a bathroom, I had a great time with the boys, Scott, the S's and our new pack!

The boys did well kayaking and we plan on going again; maybe to the mountains even! Q wants to do "whitewater" and I would really like to try my hand at a little bigger of a challenge but for the first time, SlowWater was great!
