Qman paints!

Qman has taken up painting figures. He has a box set of carnage that he got at DC a couple of years ago that has been in his closet. He has taken them out a couple of times and put some together but has not painted them. The other day I see him taking out the box set again and then yesterday spent the day painting some of the figures. When Scott got home he showed Quint some technique and then let him use his paints, mat and brushes. Scott handed over some of his Warhammer figures and off Quint went to painting! Not surprisingly the kid that has been "sleeping in" got up just after 7am this morning to resume his painting!
Our little Zman tried his hand at it but he is still young and had gotten a little "gloppy" but did a nice job on the figure that he painted. I now have paint, figures and accessories all over the kitchen table once again.....

We are all excited about everything that we will be doing over the next week, I have to hang sheetrock today at the boss's house and then will be heading to a sleepover at the S's house. Tomorrow K and I have shooting sport class and then on Sunday we will be going to a neat park for a cub's Bday party.

I am feeling the Lobster on Tuesday!!! YUMMY!!!

Feeding Fish, The pool is on its way!

Part of our chores is to go down and feed the fish and check on the pond. Today we fit it in even though we finally got the pool filter system working and limping along! Lucy decided to take a needed swim in the pond and seemed to really enjoy it! The boys were having a good time watching her and doing their job.

Our pool work has taken up a good part of the day, once I got the pump working again! We have been cleaning it and scooping leaves all day and it actually has been fun working with the boys.

The pond is coming along and will be so much better once they get the new pipe up another 4' or so! We are expecting more rain so hopefully the pipe will get raised before more rain comes!

Again, on this day we Remember!

Please remember Today.

Here are the young men from the Alfa Association Honor Roll. Please remember them as well as all others that have been lost. For those that don't know, these are the men that stood besides Dad.

you that makes you want to believe that there still
exists a right and wrong, that decency
will somehow triumph in the end”

We can't be in the North for Memorial Day today but just know that we remember and we love you all.... your family.

Feeding the fish!

Part of the boys mission is to feed the fish in the new pond. We try to do it every other day if it has not been raining. The boys love running around the pond and hanging out down in near the water!

Atlanta...

Sooooo.... Excuse the NO PHOTOS from this weekend but today when I was going to take photos of the boys, Marff, Scott and I on the silver comet trail we got into a pretty good storm at mile 2.5! By the time we got back to the car we were drenched! So, no photos!

We went to the DC staff meeting on Saturday and then headed to Marffs house. Dinner was Long Horns (yea, yea, for you outback people... boo hiss all you want..!!) It was a great dinner and we got treated very well since the co-owner knew we were on our way.

We went back to Marff's and watched a movie and then got up this morning and went for a 5 mile Trikke/Bike ride. It started raining at 2.5 and we turned around! After changing clothes and getting dry we went out for lunch/brunch. Overall it was a great weekend although we are all tired!
Near Marff's house he has a "Home Depot" clearance center! I ran in quick and got this for just over $100!!! YAY!!! Such a good deal I should have bought two!

Going to be a busy couple of weeks for me and hopefully the weather will cooperate with everything that I need to do!

More Cake.....

Yup, that is correct.... We had even more cake on Tuesday to celebrate our friend Vanin's birthday before they left for home! After a wonderful steak and chicken dinner we had ice cream cake for him which rounded out their weeks visit very well! Our week and weekend was so much fun with all our guests and I look forward to doing it again!

Today was my birthday and I just wanted to take a minute to thank EVERYONE who called, emailed and IMd me Birthday wishes! My kids and husband got me a couple of wonderful deck chairs and some plants for my back deck and I received some needed cash that will go for the boys tuition down payment for masters next year and will buy me a new TOOL that dad and I have been wanting! I don't always feel like or act like I am in my 40's and I guess that is a good thing! Looking forward to a staff meeting on Saturday and a long trikke ride on Sunday with our friend Marfffff!!!!!!! Our weeks are pretty full and there is much to do but with the wonderful weather we can get a lot accomplished! MUCH LOVE TO EVERYONE!

Q's Bday and a Great Weekend!

What a weekend that was kicked off with a Birthday dinner for my eldest.... We enjoyed plenty of fun times with friends all weekend long with breakfasts at Bo-Jo's, Rockband, A movie out and lots of laughs! We had a munchkin running around for the weekend which was a blast! Qman ended up with some great stuff and lots of cash! The StarTrek movie was amazing and worth seeing again! Mother's day was fun, breakfast out and then some rockband and a show or two! Overall we could not have asked for a better weekend.... We missed seeing our friends the S's.... Of course we miss seeing Nana and Grammie and all the other Mom's that were not here this weekend!

More Vacation Photos

So, while on vacation we really only fooled around at the beach, swam in the pool and rode our bikes... Although fun I know you must be getting sick of the ocean and swimming shots... But really it was so much fun for us and all the boys and they had such a great time.
Quentin purchased all the boys battle robots (they were a good deal on clearance) and we had battles going on all the time when we were at the house. It was pretty funny and very enjoyable to hear all the boys laughing as they knocked each other's head off!

Package from Nana

Nana sent a package which the boys really enjoyed! They have wanted Sea Monkeys for a while and Nana was nice enough to send the boys some along with Q's Birthday cards! Grandpa took Q on his Birthday lunch and the kids came home with a bounty! Happy birthweek son!

Vacation Photos Take 2

The boys wanted a "behind the glass" photo so it looked like they were part of the display. It is not easy getting a photo on the other side of a glass case! BV park has an area that is not used by anyone and is part of the park behind the pool. It seems that a turtle moved in there several years ago and when Quentin went to hunt him down to take a photo of him, he found 5 had moved in. I don't know what will happen when they ever decide to use the park because the turtles are protected. Quentin got some good shots of the turtles and was very excited about it!

The boys had a great time splashing in the waves! The wind swells that day were pretty high and I got in when the waves got pretty big and unfortunately ended the boys fun because the undertow was pretty bad. We got the boys out and took them to the pool and then out to eat. They were not too happy with me for pulling them out but the red flag was up and we were afraid their little bodies would not handle the undertow very well. The boys had a blast at the ocean and talk about going back all the time!
