Karate Demonstration*** Relay For Life.....

The boys and all their class mates looked great at their Karate Demonstration tonight at the Relay for Life.
Their instructor was happy with the turn out; he missed Dad being there.!!
Did the daily checking of the rents house, getting the mail and feeding the pets. Tomorrow we will have to clean for company and although we are supposed to get rain it looks like it has been pushed off until tomorrow. Tonight is a nice 77 degrees but we were really hoping for some rain!

Fun at the Park!

The boys had a great time at the library summer reading program! Then we went to the park and met up with the home school group!
All the kids had a great time while the adults chatted!
As you can see there is a whole slew of boys and one girl.... Poor little thing has to really keep up with all the boys!
Off to the Karate demonstration!
All our love to Dad and Mom who are up at Dad's Reunion!!!

Thursday and the Weekend!

Today I finally managed to get to the corp office to put in the shelves... They looked great and it was nice seeing everyone! I missed seeing Rbt but will see him next go round.....

We went to HD and picked up boxes and wire so hopefully we can begin putting in the wire on Sat.. Friday is going to be busy with the boys, they have the Library summer kick off program early in the morning and then a play time at the park. Back home for a short time in the afternoon and then we will be off to Another park for the Karate demonstration at the Relay for Life that is going on in town.... I am excited to see them!

Mom and Dad made it to their destination today after leaving the house at about 3:30am.. Yes AM!!! They will be gone for a long weekend for Dad's reunion.. Before Mom and Dad left they wrote Thank You notes to a few of the guys that gave money for their Scout pack. The cards came out nice and we used this photo for it.

The boys are on their Summer school program which includes school work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday and reading everyday; giving them Thursday, Friday and the weekends off. They get extra credit for doing schoolwork other times during their off time.

Looks like company this weekend (with any luck...) Hopefully some nice weather as well. With any luck next week will be busy and I will get a lot done!

Two Walls done today!

Got two of the walls done on the boys room and then Scott and I caulked around what had been done. Lumber arrived this afternoon for the last wall and then we can move inside and work! I started to primer the trim and will go get the primer for the boards this week. Expecting rain some of this week so we shall see how the last wall goes.
Zach was happy that he was making the fish happy by feeding them some bread that we brought.... The boys enjoyed a quick swim in the lake after we went boating on both Saturday and Sunday!

Just a Post.......

We had a wonderful weekend with M, although we sure did miss X & P and the S's...... Monday was a bit of questing and then when M headed back to Atl we did some cleaning, boys did school work and then everyone helped to make dinner... We rounded out the night with a bit more questing with M and my sweet little friend Aziron...The boys spent some time on their computers and then read until bedtime.....
Dad and Mom are getting ready for their Trip North and I'm going to try to go get some wire to see if we can't wire the boys room. I still have not figured out the boys reading lights over their beds but I'm working on that.....
My Yucca plant looks nice for the first time since we planted it... There are several in a row but only one decides to think about blooming. Dad's vine is in full bloom and beautiful!
Cubs tonight, Scott has a couple days off and we are hopefully going to get some stuff done around the house..... Boys want to go down to the lake... They have had a good time swimming and boating this past weekend... Zach mentioned that we needed to do it again really soon.... Boating with Dad and Mom was fun! It was great to Trikke a bit around the school yard as well......

And now for two random Quotes...... One I give the author, one only a few will know where it came from:

If there is anything we wish to change in the child,
we should first examine it and see whether
it is not something that could better be changed in ourselves.
~Carl Jung

And for my husband and Mr. X......(and all those other males in my life....) Do you know where this is from???

What about those red balls they have on car
aerials so you can spot your car in a park.
I think all cars should have them!

Memorial Day... Salute!

These heroes are dead. They died for liberty - they died for us.
They are at rest. They sleep in the land they made free,
under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines,
the sad hemlocks, the tearful willows, and the embracing vines.
They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike
of sunshine or of storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest.
Earth may run red with other wars - they are at peace.
In the midst of battle, in the roar of conflict,
they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment
for soldiers living and dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead.

On The Lake Again!

It is always neat when people are interested in the boat or w/e the project happens to be! Some people stopped and asked about the boat and Dad was telling them about making it.
M was in his Kayak and Scott and I had the boys with us until we met up with mom and dad and then the boys enjoyed a ride with them!

Video on the Lake!

More Band shots....

More photos of Jeff's band......

Spent a morning at a breakfast out at BoJo's and then went out on a little trikke adventure with M.... It was fun riding around with him and the boys did well today after not doing it for a while!

Now off to the lake to canoe and kayak again and maybe meet up with dad and mom on the boat! A beautiful 77 degrees with sun shining bright!

Cars and Guitars.....

It was fun looking at all the old cars; would really not mind having one or two!
After we watched Jeff's band play we headed over so the boys could bounce for a bit! We really had a good day that ended with some questing at home and some movie watching!

Battle of the Bands....

Qman spotted this on the wall near where the battle of the bands was..... Not sure if it actually belongs to our Jeff but I would imagine so.... It is on the wall outside where they hang out!
It was fun seeing Jeff's band play on stage!

An afternoon on the lake......

M, Scott and I took the boy out on the lake today.. We rented a canoe and M brought his Kayak out.. The sun was hot on the lake and we made sure to lather up with sunblock....

During our travels we saw a huge next with a mother bird that was none-to happy that we were nearby.
The boys, Scott and I tried out M's kayak which was fun and we all want one now! I think our next trip will be to rent them on the river someplace and have the boys try their own!

Off to Battle of the Bands that Jeff's band is playing in!!!

11 Years and Counting!

Happy Anniversary honey!!!
11 years and counting!

"I don't pretend to know what love is for everyone,
but I can tell you what it is for me;
love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with
them more than any other person, love is trusting them
them enough to tell them everything about yourself,
including the things you might be ashamed of,
love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone,
but still getting weak knees when they walk into
a room and smile at you.

More boat shots......

Ok, so they are not all boat shots... Had to throw in the boys playing in the water.... "Mom, can we just put our feet in???".... You notice don't you that my man Zach is wet up to his chest.... He "fell" in!!!!

The boat is all that the boys can talk about tonight! It is so exciting! So much better than everyone getting in and me pulling the trailer up and down the flying field!

The BOAT Hits the Water!!!!!

YES! You read correctly! The QZBell hit the water tonight at about 6:30pm!!!!
The maiden voyage went well.... The boat came off the trailer, Dad and the boys drove it around and we put it back on the trailer...... A very successful first trip!!!
We are all very proud of Dad with his boat and can't wait for future trips on the lake!

Siding continues to go on!

Dad and I spent the better part of today putting more siding on. The small section in between the windows was tough and took a while but I think it came out nice!

The boys went with Nana today to put money in their savings accounts and then a little shopping was done!
