Thank you everyone for all of your thoughts and prayers. Courtney is a strong person with a heart of gold. No one deserves this; it is really a wake up call when it hits so close to home!

Lisad and all of Courtney's family are in our thoughts as well.
I will be going by on Wednesday to see how LisaD is doing.... And wish them all well.
Here is the best article that I have found so far to read about Sgt Courtney Gale, our friend who was stabbed 10 times at a kroger while she was on extra duty as a police officer. here is the article
You can visit and leave words of encouragement that will be read to Courtney here:
You can visit Sgt Courtney 's CaringBridge site at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/sgtcourtneygale .
Right now Courtney's condition is stable. The latest from the waiting room camp is: The family has received some medical information about Courtney to share. Today she is being put on temporary dialysis, which is not unusual with such trauma to the body. It will help reduce the strain on her kidneys and is part of the healing process. Additionally, the neurologist did a stimuli response test on her this morning. There were some good signs from the test, and Courtney is considered to be in a "light" coma.
Although we all want to know when she will be awake and how soon she will be better, it is important to understand that her healing is expected to be a slow process and will take an extended period of time. We will continue to update you with her condition as we get news, and again, appreciate all of your support.
